Toronto Real Estate Spring Thaw

Toronto Real Estate Downtown Toronto Real Estate is also experiencing gains in home sales during March and building on gains in home sales during February as well.

The Canadian Real Estate Association said the volume of existing homes across Canada was up 7 per cent in March comparing well with February's 10.3 per cent gain.

Improved affordability due to lower mortgage rates with widespread interest cuts plus the annual surge of a Spring Market are both contributing to more sales right across Canada.

According to the Canadian Real Estate Association, the largest monthly increase in home sales activity was British Columbia at 13.6 per cent with Ontario a close second at 10.5 per cent.

A Canadian Bank economist noted, affordability in buying a home is the highest in four years, with much lower mortgage rates stimulating home buying.

Year over year sales were down nationally 13.7 per cent and the national average resale price was $288,641 down 7.7 per cent from a year earlier.

Toronto Condos, Lofts and Homes for sale or rent can be found on our Toronto Real Estate website that has great MLS listings in the areas of Downtown, Yorkville and North York.
