The Toronto Real Estate Board has reported resale housing totals for February 2009 that resulted in 4,120 transactions.
Good news was that on a month to month basis sales and average price were above January levels.
Usually the spring Toronto Real Estate market starts to climb to its highest levels before trending lower after July. This spring market could experience more activity as a result of lower mortgage rates and the fact that we are in a buyers market.
Toronto Condos in the central regions of the Toronto Real Estate market still showed percentage reductions from year over year prices however that should soon change once the 2007 record sales are no longer a comparison.
Over 923 Condos were sold for a median price of $240,000 in comparison to 2,008 detached homes selling for $370,000. Condos still offer lower prices compared to the detached homes.
