New Toronto Condos were up 80.3 per cent to 2,064 units sold compared to October 2008 according to the Building Industry and Land Development Association.
Total new Condo sales in Toronto and including the GTA were 2,450 units showing an increase of 76.8 per cent from the same period, a year ago.
The high-rise Toronto Condo market is now accounting for 60 per cent of total new home sales for October.
The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) reported in the first two weeks of November Realtors in Toronto and the GTA reported 3,666 sales up 84 per cent compared to the first two weeks of November 2008.
TREB reported 1,560 Toronto Condominium resales with the average price up 10.3 per cent in the first two weeks of November 2009 compared to the same time last year.
Year-to-date Toronto and GTA home resales were up 11 per cent to 78,233 with the average price up by 3 per cent to $393,180.
This must be very confusing as we mix in two Toronto Real Estate Markets, both the New Homes and Condos and also the resale Homes and Condos that were sold through the Toronto MLS system by Realtors.
