Toronto Condo Sales January 2009
The Toronto Real Estate Board reported 2,670 total sales in January 2009 compared to 5,075 sales in the same month in 2008.
The City of Toronto sales were 1,106 compared with 2,128 for January 2008 a drop in sales of 52 percent.
Prices declined in the 905 Area from $352,965 to $328,935 for December 2008m a drop of 6.8 percent. The city of Toronto declined in average price from $404,202 to $364,415, a drop of 9.8 per cent.
Prices for Toronto Condos in the Central districts of Toronto were lower, with popular areas showing negative figures from the same period a year ago.
Two standouts were North York Condos, C15 with an increase in price of 16 percent and C07 with an increase of 10.9 percent
