Toronto Real Estate agents reported a strong broad based recovery in existing home sales in the first two weeks of December, 2009.
Resale transactions on the Toronto MLS system were 3,079 homes sold compared to 1,487 sold in the recession month of November, 2008.
Year to date sales moved up to the 2004 through 2006 period with 84,888 resales, up 16 per cent from the same period last year.
The Toronto Real Estate Board's December mid-month resale housing report showed the average resale home price of $423,103 an increase of 17 per cent.
The year-to-date average rose to $395,411 an increase of four per cent.
The average price of a resale City of Toronto home was $460,828 an increase of 20 per cent.
