The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation has advised the economic and Toronto Real Estate slump is no grounds for appealing the latest valuations.

Premier Dalton Mcguinty called on municipal governments to "act reasonably and responsibly" and he recognized that residents were perhaps receiving "..an unrealistic assessment."

Residents can request a review of their valuation if they feel it does not reflect the correct value on assessment  day: Jan. 1, 2008

A review of property valuation assessments can be requested up to March 31, 2009
